My 16 month old vomits when I try to give him certain foods. Is this normal for a child this age?

Since my son was 12months old I have tried giving him a variety of foods. Certain foods such as ground beef and beans make him throw up. He has been to the allergist and he does not have food allergies. Is this normal for a child his age??????
