I am considering becoming an Officer within the ARNG can I keep my enlisted roommate of 2 years?

We have both been enlisted for the past 2 years and I already have my bachelors degree considering accelerated OCS this summer. I looked up the army reg 600-20 and it says that reserve members can keep their civilian relationships, including shared living accommodations, so long as it was preexisting before becoming commissioned. I just want to see if any national guard members (officers) could clear the air for me. Currently we drill with the same unit and there is a nearby unit that I would most likely be attached to after becoming commissioned and everyone in both units know us. This is so important because I am divorced and repairing my finances so having a roommate is crucial to my civilian life. Please point me in the right direction.
