CACHE Childcare Diploma?
In theory yes it will. In practice, in order to get the correct mix of practice and theory for the correct age group - and also enough UCAS points to choose which uni - she needs to do the level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development. Providing she will get at least 5 A*-C at GCSE. (Do not do the BTEC level 3 National Certificate - whatever post 16 colleges tell you it does not carry enough UCAS points for entry to virtually any uni) Have a look at a few unis websites for their entry requirements and also try the UCAS website for points equivalences between A levels and more vocational (CACHE, BTEC etc) qualifications. An alternative would be A levels. To teach she will also need grade A*-C in Maths, English and Science as these are statutory requirements - although if missing one of these she can do things like level 2 literacy to make it up - at a later date if necessary. The college should let her do this course if necessary at teh same time as any other course.
